Hose Cut-Out Requirement: Requires cutting the existing intake hose leading to the engine's raw water pump and removing 5-1/2 inches of hose for proper in-line installation.

Straight Hose Clearance Requirement: Must be installed in a straight section of hose allowing at least 12 inches of total straight run (with at least 6 inches available on one side of the valve without excessive bending or flexing, excluding the spud/barb portion).
