Just place the EDV333 in your boat and it starts absorbing moisture immediately without power or batteries!  It stores up to 6 ounces of moisture and holds it in crystalized silica beads that are odorless, non-toxic, and completely safe . Even when it's full, it can't spill or leak and won't allow the moisture to evaporate back into the air.  When the "moisture meter crystals" in the indicator window turn from blue to pink, you know it's full.  Then, just remove the unit and plug it into a power outlet or extension cord in a well ventilated area over night.  The built-in heater warms the crystals allowing them to release the moisture as water vapor in about 8-10 hours.  When the indicator turns blue, it is completely renewed and ready to go back into the boat to absorb another 6 ounces of moisture!
