If you have one of the old Guest dimmer switches that looks like this (black heat sync with gold plate and ivory knob) you can't buy a new one... but this will replace it!

Guest made a great dimmer for its day which is why many boat builders used them.  But those days are long gone, the dimmers have been out of production for years, and many are starting to fail.  The problem is, they used 3 wires, making them very hard to find a replacement... but we have!

On the Guest dimmer, the red wire went to the positive source and powered the dimmer itself, not the lights.  The black wire went to the negative source, and the white went to the negative side of the lights' circuit.  The lights got their power directly from the fuse or breaker circuit.  This dimmer allows you to leave the power going to the lights as is.  Just disconnect the red wire going into the Guest dimmer and terminate it.  Take the wire attached to the Guest's black wire and connect to the red wire on our dimmer.  Then take the wire from the Guest's white lead and connect to the white lead on ours.

This 12V dimmer switch features an on/off switch and slider dimming control in one panel.   Snap-on trim ring hides mounting screws.  Designed to function in extreme temperature variations, it will handle up to 15 amps, or about 15 - 10W lights!  Cutout is 2-3/8" W x 1-3/4"T x 7/8"D, and overall dimensions are 3"W x 2-7/8"T, so it will just fill the hole from a Guest dimmer when turned sideways (won't cover the old mounting screw holes, sorry!)  UL, CSA, and VDE approved.

This is the best, easiest replacement for a Guest dimmer we've found, and at a great price!
